November 10th, 2022
Dear Progress Families,
Happy Friday! As a reminder, conferences begin next Wednesday! We look forward to seeing you all and having rich conversations about your kids and their progress in school. Please come with any questions you may have as our teachers are looking to partner with you to make sure your child’s year is a success.
Here is an opportunity to get involved with Central Valley’s Strategic Planning:
CVSD is creating a new strategic plan, based on community input using a new idea management tool called Crowdicity. Provide YOUR IDEAS to district leaders & vote on others at https://ceso.crowdicity.com until Mon. 11/14. Pass it on to others.
Watch for updates on the process at: https://www.cvsd.org/strategicplan/
- If you are having problems scheduling a conference, please contact your child’s teacher directly! We look forward to seeing you all!
- Remember, if you would like to volunteer to be at school and help out at parties or in any other way, we do need you to complete the volunteer registration using the link below.

- With the cold weather upon us, please send your child to school with coats, hats and gloves! We will be going outside each day unless it is raining or below 20 degrees.
- If you are in need of help with a coat for your kids, please reach out to Mrs. Hammond at 558-4506 or email her at [email protected].
- While we have a handful of coats we can help with, if your family is in need of snow pants, hats, gloves, etc, I encourage you to visit the Student and Family Engagement Center. *612 S McDonald Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99216

FYI:
Positive for COVID
- If a student tests positive they must stay home from school for 5 days. The count of these 5 days begins with a “day 0”. “Day 0” is either the symptom onset date or the day of the positive test.
- After these 5 days have passed a student may return to school if fever free for 24 hours without medication and symptoms have subsided
- If any lingering symptoms are still present, we recommend masking until these symptoms subside.
Symptomatic, but negative for COVID
- Students may return to school when symptomatic, but negative for COVID if they have been fever-free without medication for 24 hours and symptoms have subsided.
- If symptoms persist, it is recommended that they retest every 24-48 hours for at least 5 days after symptoms started.
We have at home COVID tests available to send with you or are happy to test them here at school.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Go Panthers!
